NGA Tail Extension Service (TES)

The NGA tail extension service extends a UFB ATA voice or bitstream service operator virtual circuit (OVC) to a UFB handover connection service located at one of the POIs. This enables you to access and interconnect with Chorus network.

Only NGA/ UFB handovers can be used for NGA Tail Extension.

NGA tail extension is available on all NGA connections nationally on the Chorus network. 

Pricing for NGA tail extension is published in the NGA Business rate card, NGA Evolve Business rate card, NGA Business Premium Rate Card and Home Fibre Rate Card. 

NGA Tail Extension Service can be ordered in the Chorus Portal by selecting the desired Standard or National UFB Handover connection service as part of the 'Add, Modify, Transfer or Move' service request as specified in the NGA National Tail Extension Service Description.

The products that can use NGA Tail Extension are the following NGA products only:

• NGA Evolve (BItstream 2, including private offers)
• NGA Business (Bitstream 3, including private and education)
• NGA Business Premium (Enhanced Bitstream 4)
• NGA Voice (standalone or with Bitstream 2 or 3)

An NGA product instance can terminate on at either

• Any UFB Handover Connection (E-NNI) in the local point of interconnection;
• Any UFB Handover Connection (E-NNI) in the regional point of interconnection; or
• A national UFB Handover Connection (E-NNI), which can be at any point of interconnection.
