To prepare for the future (and succeed), future generations need a next-generation network. Hyperfibre for Education will enable new technologies and experiences, fundamentally changing the possibilities of how we learn, work, teach and innovate.

Hyperfibre enables students, teachers, principals and decision makers to be at the cutting edge of today’s learning environment. While also supporting future trends like social mapping, real-time reporting, micro-credentialing and big data. Technologies which are heavily reliant on collecting, measuring and analysing large quantities of data in real-time to predict learning outcomes.

The majority of New Zealand schools and universities are already connected to Chorus fibre. To experience these and other benefits, Hyperfibre Business offers 2000Mbps, 4000Mbs and 8000Mbps symmetrical bandwidth – each with 100Mb High Traffic Class bandwidth.

Hyperfibre 2000Mbps and 4000Mbps is available nationwide in all UFB1 areas. 

From 2 May 2022, Hyperfibre 2000Mbps and 4000Mbps can also be ordered in UFB2, 2+ and RONZ areas. 

Hyperfibre 8000Mbps is currently available for order from 10 central exchanges across Auckland and Wellington: 

  • Auckland: Mount Albert, Mt Eden, Ponsonby, Mayoral drive, Remuera, Browns Bay
  • Wellington: Khandallah, Courtenay Place, Wellington, Kelburn

From 2 May 2022, ordering will be extended to 18 exchanges.
