HSNS Premium and Lite Fibre Glass-only Update
On 23 July 2020, we confirmed we would discontinue HSNS fibre media converters on 31 August 2021. Then on 30 June 2021, we confirmed we will continue to fully support existing HSNS fibre media converter circuits until 31 August 2024.
The good news is that both HSNS Premium Glass and HSNS Lite Fibre Glass will continue to be available as fully supported alternatives, amongst other Chorus point to point and GPON products.
We encourage any customers who are still using HSNS fibre media converters to support their end-customer connectivity requirements, and are concerned about support for these connections from September 2024, to talk with us about alternative Chorus products well in advance of full support ending.
The two nearest alternative products are HSNS Premium Glass-only and HSNS Lite Fibre Glass-only which both have slightly different processes and requirements. To help ease the transition to these products please refer to our existing HSNS documentation on our product pages:
