Home Fibre

Technical specifications

How it works

Home fibre is a fibre access service delivered over GPON technology that offers services from 50Mbps up to 1000Mbps on our Consumer Max product. We take care of the fibre connection in your customer’s home, making sure it’s all working and sending traffic back over our uncongested network to where you want it.

You can also deliver up to two separate voice lines using the separate connectors on our network box (or optical network terminal (ONT).

Availability

Home Fibre is available in areas where we’ve rolled out fibre in the street.

Set-up requirements

You can order Home Fibre without any pre-requisites other than handover connectivity. For this you’ll need:

  • A handover connection off the first data switch, or backhaul to a handover connection at a point of interconnect (POI)
  • Handover fibre connecting the handover connection to your equipment in the co-located space in the POI or at a remote site.

Ordering

Home Fibre can be ordered by selecting NGA connection in the Chorus Portal.
