UCLL

UCLL & Sub-Loop No longer available

Overview

UCLL enables you to access and interconnect with our local copper network. It includes an MPF, a tie cableBenefit service and various ancillary services.

Please note that from 1 February 2021 we will no longer accept requests for new UCLL and sub-loop connections, including where the end user wishes to move premises. There is no change to existing connections.

With UCLL and Sub-Loop no longer available for new connections you should be looking at alternative options, such as fibre where it is available or ADSL/VDSL where it is not.

Where you are looking to migrate your existing connections, please reach out to your Account Manager.

-

UCLL is the metallic path facility (MPF or copper pair) that goes from your customer’s home or business to the main distribution frame (MDF) in the local exchange. This means you can deliver your own copper based services to customers who are connected to the exchange via our local copper network.
