Hyperfibre is delivered over XGS-PON technology. It is a next generation technology that support speeds of up to 10 gigabit per second (Gbps) downstream and upstream, deployed over our existing nationwide fibre infrastructure. XGS-PON technology enables you to reach an internet speed of up to 8 Gbps for download and upload regardless of the distance.

How it works
Hyperfibre ONT
Hyperfibre comes with a new ONT (optical network terminal) purposefully designed to allow you to get the best use of our next-generation speeds. The ONT contains an auto-sensing 1gbps/2.5gbps/5gbps/10gbps copper Ethernet, as well as four GE Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi:
- 1x 10GE (LAN 10G) - one 10GBase-T 10 Gbps Ethernet port
- 4x GE (Lan 1, 2, 3, 4) - four 1000Base-T 1 Gbps Ethernet ports
- 802.11ac 4x4 gigabit Wi-Fi port
- 2x USB (USB 1, 2) - two USB 3.0 interfaces in residential gateway (RGW) mode

Ordering
Easy! Ordering is available through Chorus Portal.
Logging a fault
- Hyperfibre faults will be logged via the Assurance website like any other NGA fault.
- Service providers should log a fault if they see interrupted service.
- Chorus will diagnose the service upon receiving the ticket and take relevant actions.
