Chorus Exchange Connect (CXC)

Chorus Exchange Connect (CXC) is an optical transport network product that provides a high-bandwidth, reliable and cost-effective data transport solution connecting New Zealand’s Central Offices. It’s an essential building block in supporting you to construct national transport networks to meet the rapidly growing demand for capacity. 

CXC transports traffic between two Central Offices, handing traffic back to RSP’s nominated footprints or Points of Interconnect by combining with other backhaul products.

With our extensive network coverage, you can connect and backhaul your customers around the country in a cost-effective way.

We carefully plan our diverse routes at the eastern and western sides to maximise network protection and regularly upgrade our networks to meet the demands of exponential traffic growth.

CXC Lit is available in 10G and 100G with open term

Where CXC Lit is not yet available, a CXC Dark Fibre Extension variant is available.  

As the DWDM footprint expands, CXC Dark Fibre Extension instances of CXC will be migrated to the CXC Lit Service  and the CXC Dark Fibre Extension will no longer be available in those areas.
