Introduction of a Hyperfibre CPE offer

Thanks for your feedback on our recent Hyperfibre CPE incentive consultation. You told us that cost, procurement, and testing were challenges to supplying a Hyperfibre capable modem to customers. You also told us that further customer education is required to make sure customers understand the difference between Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections, the best hardware to use, and how to get the best speeds out of Hyperfibre. You also provided feedback that allowing you to supply the modem gives you greater control over the end user experience but for some of you, having a third-party option would give you more flexibility and support the ability to have a different strategy for each segment. 

This feedback has enabled us to build an offer that works to support you with driving the uptake of Hyperfibre and ensuring that customers are getting the best possible experience with a Hyperfibre capable modem. 

On that basis, we will be providing you with a $300 CPE credit for each Hyperfibre connection when you supply customers with Hyperfibre capable modems.

 

Eligibility 

Offer available for connections ordered between 11 April 2023 until 30 June 2023

This credit is applicable whenever a Hyperfibre capable modem is supplied to a customer on a new connection or upgrade to any Hyperfibre plan (Hyperfibre Home, Small Business Hyperfibre or Business Hyperfibre). 

To allow you to leverage existing supplier agreements and choose a suitable device, we only require that a Hyperfibre capable modem has at least a 2.5Gbps WAN port. The availability of this modem must be listed on your website. 

We may also introduce the flexibility for you to choose to use a third party in the future although this is still currently being explored.
