Chorus Assurance channels – OFM and SSP shutdown

In December 2017, we advised that we were introducing a new  Assurance channel comprising our new Assurance Website and API. This would provide a one stop shop for logging and managing a fault with integrated testing and validation.

In July 2018, we provided formal notice that we would be withdrawing the ability to report faults on the existing Assure systems in July 2019. We have previously extended the shutdown date.  We are now further extending that date to 30 November 2019 for the OFM and SSP systems.

What’s happening

In April 2019, we reviewed our delivery timetable and in line with our new industry migration plan, we moved the intended date of the shutdown from July 2019 to September 2019.

While we completed the migration of all users of OFM and SSP to the new Assurance website on 7 October 2019, we have again delayed the shutdown and are looking to retire the OFM (layer 2 fault logging portal) and the SSP (layer 1 fault logging portal) on the 30 November 2019.
