Technology change: we are withdrawing our current fault management channels in September 2019
What’s changing?
In December 2017, we advised that we were introducing a new Assurance Channel comprising our new Assurance Website and API. This will provide a one stop shop for logging a fault with integrated testing and validation.
In July 2018, we provided a further update and formal notice that we would be withdrawing of the ability to report faults on Assure systems in July 2019. These are:
- OFM (layer 2 fault logging portal)
- SSP (layer 1 fault logging portal)
- The current “ebXML” Assure B2B
When
We have reviewed our delivery timetable, resulting in the Current Assure platform shutdown moving from July to September 2019. This aligns with our revised on-boarding timeline for the new Chorus Assurance website.
We are working through our API launch timelines and will advise when we have more information.
Supporting details
The assure platform replacement programme includes:
- A re-platform of the current Assure B2B (with nil impact to current Assure B2B users)
- Grandfathering the current Assure B2B
- Creating a new Assure Channel (a one stop shop for logging a fault with integrated testing and validating)
- Creating an Assure API (fault logging with integrated testing and validating) for RSP consumption
- Migrating customers to the new Assure Channels
We intend to start on-boarding customers to the new Assurance website in a phased approach from June, with all customers on-boarded by end of September.
