Technology change: we are withdrawing our current fault management and testing channels
In December 2017, we notified you that we were building a new Assure Channel and we gave you notice of consultation for a major technology change:
- Creating a new Assure Channel (a one stop shop for logging a fault with integrated testing, validating, etc.)
- The Channel includes new Assure API and Assure website
- Migrating you to the new Assure Channel
- The withdrawal of the ability to report faults on:
- The current “ebXML” Assure B2B
- Online Fault Management - the layer 2 fault logging portal
- Self Service Portal - the layer 1 fault logging portal
- Service Performance Management - the copper service testing portal
Following this Technology Change you will only be able to report faults via a single platform: your new Assure Channel.
What's happening?
Since giving that notice, we have completed the consultation with you on this Technology Change for a period in excess of 90 days via the Ultra-Fast Broadband Product Forum (as the Change Management Forum has not yet been established) in relation to this Technology Change.
We are now giving notice that we will be implementing this Technology Change, as a major change, on 31 July 2019, being a period of 12 months’ after this notice. After the notified withdrawal, faults can only be reported using the new Assure Channel (API or website).
