Chorus Data Centre Connect (CDCC)

CDCC extends the reach of Chorus’ DWM Transport networks into specified DC’s. DC Colocation Service Providers can connect to the DWM equipment by running cross connect cables from their DC footprint to the Chorus node equipment. 

Traffic is terminated at a listed specified exchange within the candidate area. Should Service Providers wish to further extend the service to another location, they may combine it with other applicable backhaul products to complete the DCI solution.  

Chorus Transport nodes are installed into specified DC’s providing management and monitoring to the very edge of the service pathway. Power, control and optical filter cards are inserted into the shelf to facilitate common functionality. Transponder cards provide client specific service offering.

Service offerings include: 

• Single Fibre pathway 10Gb or 100Gb   

Example Single pathway/non-diverse DCI architecture 

• Dual Fibre pathway 10Gb or 100Gb with multiple levels of card, shelf, cable, and pathway diversity.

Data Centre Termination Point

At the DC the termination point for the purposes of the connection and the service demarcation point is, depending on the DC’s interconnect policy, either a splice or connector:

1. on the DC‘s appointed interconnection point in the DC; or
2. an interconnect tie cable provided by the DC; or 
3. on a Chorus OFDF. 

Chorus Central Office Termination Point

At the Chorus Central Office, the termination point for the purposes of the connection and the service demarcation point is either

1. a splice or connector on the MOFDF; or 
2. a virtual point within the Chorus network providing interconnection to a Chorus Backhaul service
