We’re extending our MOE COVID-19 Broadband Support Package to the end of 2021

In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, we have agreed to extend our MOE COVID-19 Broadband Support Package to all currently connected qualifying households until 31 December 2021.

What’s happening?

The MOE COVID-19 Support Package offer was made available last year to participating RSPs, allowing you to connect households identified by MOE as requiring connectivity for in-home learning. Under this offer, we had agreed to credit 100% of the Wholesale fees* to you, until 31 March 2021 (Offer Period).

After further discussion with the Ministry of Education, we can now confirm that the Support Package Offer Period will be extended until 31 December 2021. This change will provide continuity of service through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the potential for future alert level changes, while allowing government and industry more time to consider a more sustainable solution for meeting the needs of these households.

Note: Due to this change, we are now withdrawing our previously announced MOE COVID-19 Support Package Transition Offer.

Next steps

If you have signed our original Offer Letter, you do not need to do anything further to take advantage of this extension. However, we understand there have been some challenges for some RSPs in reconciling the credits for this offer, in part due to moves of address within the qualifying household population.

We are working on improved processes to track these, and will be in touch directly to inform you of these.
