In 2018 we were nearing capacity within our colocation room at Mayoral Drive (MDR) and introduced additional access measures to ensure existing and additional load was well managed and to avoid risk to customer equipment.  

One measure included restricting access into the space, with access being granted by a work permit only, except for faults. 

Over time the additional measures have been adhered to by access seekers and we are now comfortable with restoring access protocols to standard practise.

Next Steps 

Access into the colocation room no longer requires a permit to work to be submitted. However, a permit to work is still required for planned work. 

If you already had access to the colocation room at MDR then you do not need to do anything as your access profile has been automatically updated.
