At the Chorus customer Dialogue held in June, we announced the beginning of an industry consultation plan that will be run through until 2020. 

This consultation plan will comprise of three streams:

• The Layer 1 Unbundling stream will support the delivery of the Layer 1 Unbundled product suite that will be in market at the beginning of 2020. Initially we will seek feedback from you and later discuss with you specific topics as the product build progresses.
• The Layer 2 Fibre portfolio stream will seek feedback on the Consumer and Business Bitstream plans, ensuring that the plan line up is optimised to your requirements post-2020.  This stream will also provide updates on the 10Gig PON trial underway via the Chorus lab.
• The Contract framework stream was initiated via the TCF Product Forum in June and discussion on this topic will remain within the TCF framework. The Dialogue sessions and the website will be used however to ensure that all of you have access to the consultation status and relevant documents.

The Dialogue events will be used to update you on what has occurred in the previous quarter, as well as provide an overview of key decisions, and a view to the next quarter milestones and topics for consultation.

In between the Dialogue events the relevant meetings on each stream will occur, both as a series of bilateral sessions scheduled via your Account team and at regular industry meetings.

Next steps

The supporting details around key dates and milestones will progressively be added to the post-2020 consultation page over the coming weeks and your Account team will be in contact at that time to start scheduling initial meetings for the consultation streams. You should also ensure your representatives attend industry meetings.
