Chorus Regional Transport – launching improved service levels

We’re pleased to announce that the improved service level framework for Chorus Regional Transport (CRT) will come into effect from 27 October 2020.

 

What’s happening

In July we asked for your feedback at the UFB Product Forum on the proposed new service level framework. After considering your feedback we have finalised the new service level as follows:

  • Provisioning Service Level is meet agreed date for forecast links. Rebate payable is 25% of monthly rental fee per week late capped at 100% of monthly rental fee;
  • Assure Service level varies with speed reflecting that an outage of a higher speed links will likely impact more end users. Rebate payable is 10% of monthly rental if we miss the restoration targets below:
  1. 100G CRT links: restored within four hours;
  2. 10G CRT links: restored within eight hours; and
  3. 1G CRT links: restored within twelve hours.

 

The new Provisioning and Assure service levels are as below:

CRT Provisioning Core Service Levels  

Installation of Regional Transport Service connections

25% of the monthly rental fee for the connection for each week or part thereof that the connection is not delivered with a “RFS” certificate by the date [accepted by the Service Provider via the LFC’s ordering and booking system], up to maximum of 100% of the monthly rental fee.

CRT Restoration Core Service Levels  

100G connection fault restoration

10% of the monthly rental fee for the connection, each time the Service Level is not achieved

10G connection fault restoration

10% of the monthly rental fee for the connection, each time the Service Level is not achieved.

1G connection fault restoration

10% of the monthly rental fee for the connection, each time the Service Level is not achieved.
