Changing our copper provisioning system

We notified you in May, that we’re upgrading our copper broadband provisioning system this month. As a first step, we’ve started running both legacy and new systems in parallel.

With both systems running smoothly, we’ll start migrating our copper network inventory and information to the new system from 1 November 2017. Please note that there will be no changes to the way you order, manage and track your copper broadband connections.

What’s changing

In the Assure space, there will be a small change to how port refreshes are done for BUBA connections. The port refresh function for BUBA in ESPM, will no longer be available on ISAM equipment as they’re gradually migrated from 1 November 2017. For BUBA on ASAM equipment, this occurs from March 2018.

Should you attempt to conduct a port refresh for BUBA via ESPM, an error message will display.

Supporting details

Port refreshes will continue to be available for EUBA and VDSL connections. Should a port refresh of a BUBA service be required that can’t be performed in ESPM, please raise a ticket via the OFM portal. Our Assure desk will then action this request.
