Schools ready to connect

Our main focus in RBI is delivering fibre to rural schools, libraries, cell sites, hospitals and medical facilities. To achieve this as efficiently as possible, we've leveraged our existing network and only built new duct infrastructure to reach these priority users.

Ordering

Once fibre has been laid to the gate, schools can order a service with a broadband provider or with Network for Learning.

Click on regions to see which providers offer services to schools. Once the order has been placed, a Chorus technician will complete a site visit to determine the best way to get fibre from the gate to the classroom. Our technician will work with your staff to prepare an install plan that works with the school’s current communications infrastructure and type of service desired.

Pricing

Education pricing is found in the Business product rate card.

UFB plans:

  • Build installations (i.e. lead in) are free if the school is on the RBI or UFB schools list. Private schools will be required to pay installation costs.
  • A connection fee of 1 x monthly plan charge is applicable when the service is connected (note, there are no restrictions on length etc.)
  • Prices represent the plan charges only. There may be other costs associated with providing this service. All prices exclude GST and represent the plan charges only. There may be other costs associated with providing this service.
