Your thoughts on Mix It Up
Thank you for your feedback on our proposed amendments and extension of our Mix It Up offer beyond June 2020.
You told us that:
- the current offer structure is working for you
- the incentives are helpful to your business
- you don’t want us to increase the “Get to Gig” threshold tiers.
Given the current situation we are mindful that our industry is likely to be operating at reduced capacity. Consequently, we would like to get your view on the approach to incentives from 1 July 2020.
What’s happening
It is important to know that our current offers will remain in market to support you through to 30 June 2020.
Our bonus credit for fibre intacts will remain as it is as large numbers of people are now working from home and they will need fibre now more than ever.
We realise COVID-19 restrictions will impact the volume of new installs in April and possibly beyond, but we will continue to pay incentives for orders that are received and able to be completed.
However, we’d like to get your feedback to ensure that if we were to extend our Mix It Up offer from 1 July 2020, this would support you rather than drive unnecessary pressure on your resources.
It’s difficult to know how the situation will evolve in the current circumstances but we appreciate that you need certainty to plan your upcoming activities.
What are the details
The current Mix It Up offer will continue to run until 30 June 2020, we are considering extending this for a further three months to 30 September 2020 with only small changes to the current offer.
We know that our incentives are important in supporting your activity. Although there is a possibility there could still be limitations on install activities in July, we believe continuing with the current structure provides the most certainty to us and to you. As Mix It Up has no volume thresholds, just mix thresholds, we believe it is still appropriate in a potentially install constrained environment, however we’re interested in your views on this.
Our Chorus field activity changes announced 25 March 2020 details we are now at reduced non-essential field activity and may tighten further if required. This will mean you will have reduced completed orders throughout this offer period. The Mix It Up offer thresholds measure on orders received and it is important to note that addresses with fibre already installed can still get connected, however there are limitations if a truck roll is required.
Next steps
Please contact your Account Manager and provide feedback by Thursday 9 April 2020 on whether you’d like us to continue to pay incentives after our current Mix It Up offer expires.
We aim to announce our plans by 1 May 2020, although given current circumstances there is the possibility of delay.
