We’re increasing portal security
As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure our Chorus Portal remains secure we will be deploying Application Security Manager (ASM) at the end of April. This acts as a web application firewall (WAF) that provides security against vulnerabilities such as cross site scripting and SQL injection.
What’s changing
ASM will be deployed at the end of April to the Chorus Portal. ASM is a function of the F5 firewalls deployed at Chorus. Standard firewalls are used for network level protection, while WAF protects against exploits to application level functions or content.
What does this mean for users?
The ASM will offer another level of security for functions and content on the Chorus portal. It should have no effect on your ability to access information.
In the unlikely scenario that you receive the message below when trying to access the portal, please follow the instructions:
When:
We are looking to deploy this into production at the end of April. The confirmed date will be sent via the BAU Outage Notification Informer.
