We are formally withdrawing BOOST VDSL

On 14 June we advised that would be grandfathering BOOST VDSL on 14 November 2018 and that you can keep customers on the service until 14 June 2019 when the product will be formally withdrawn.

Please note that other Chorus VDSL products are not impacted by this change.

What’s changing?

As we will formally withdraw BOOST VDSL on 14 June 2019 with all BOOST VDSL service instances and associated services like BOOST handovers, all services must therefore be migrated to standard VDSL or Unbundled Bitstream Access (UBA) services before this date.

Supporting details

BOOST VDSL will no longer be available for provisioning of new or moving existing service instances in Wireline. This means prequels will no longer show results for BOOST VDSL and it will not be available as a product selection option when placing an order.

While it is not mandatory to move your customers at this stage, we strongly recommend that you take this opportunity to discuss fibre services with them where it is available. All BOOST VDSL connections will need to be migrated to an alternative solution by 14 June 2019.

If you’d like to use a very straightforward bulk migration service to move from BOOST VDSL to standard VDSL, we’d be more than happy to assist you.
