From 1 January 2019, we are extending our UCLL Migration Offer with further amended terms.
Last time we wrote to you about this offer on 24 August, we’d identified some complexities to migrating from UCLL to a Chorus copper broadband service.
Our experience under this offer to date is that more time is required to manage migrations like this to ensure minimal customer impact. By extending the timeframe of the offer, we can continue to support you when you migrate your UCLL connections to our Chorus copper broadband services.
You will receive a credit to contribute towards your likely migration costs in doing so. Our bulk migration service wrap – available on a BAU basis - will continue to help you ensure a great consumer experience.
This is a final extension of this offer.
On 9 May, we invited you to sign up to our new UCLL Migration Offer. We’ve identified that those who signed up to the offer may not be able to meet the order timeframes under your UCLL migration plan.
Our UCLL Migration offer will extend from 1 January to 31 March 2019. You’ll find the revised UCLL Migration Offer letter under the resource section below.
We’ve summarised below what we are amending as part of this extension:
- credit payable is increasing to $150 - where an order is placed for migration of a UCLL connection to ADSL or VDSL at any time up to 31 March 2019, a connection becomes eligible for a $150 credit.
- we will continue to waive the transactional charge from ADSL to VDSL – where UCLL connections are migrated to ADSL and eligible for a credit contribution under the offer and then further migrated to VDSL within 30 days.
- orders in flight will qualify for the increased credit - from 1 January any orders for qualifying connections in our system which are not yet service given will qualify for the increased $150 credit provided they are service given by 30 April 2019.
- no UCLL migration plan required - under Clause 5, qualifying connections – you won’t need to agree a further or amended UCLL migration plan with us as qualifying connections will be eligible for credit contributions as and when they are service given (i.e. there is no requirement for bulk migration in order to be eligible).
You don’t need to do anything to enjoy the benefits of this extension of the UCLL Migration Offer.
We’ll continue to manage credit allocations and transactional charge waivers to make sure they are applied in accordance with the terms of the offer.
