Updates to the Market Development Fund

What’s happening?

The first funding round of the Market Development Fund has now closed. Thanks to all those that have applied and given us feedback on the initiative and process.

In response to some of the feedback we have received, for the second funding round we’ve decided to allow funds to be used for incentive/success fees when converting customers to fibre.

How does this change the terms of the Market Development Fund?

You can now apply to the Market Development Fund for funding of door to door marketing staff by way of either:

  • payment of hourly rates; or
  • payment of incentives/commissions.

Unfortunately, you aren’t able to apply for funding of both an hourly rate and incentives/commissions under your application.

What’s next?

The second funding round opens on Monday 19 March and runs through to the 30 March.

To apply for funds, you need to:

  • Read and acknowledge the full terms and conditions by signing and returning the participation letter.
  • Fill in the application form outlining the activity you are undertaking.
    • Supply the list of addresses you are targeting (cut down from the published list).
    • Provide estimates of the costs to you in completing the activity.

If your application is successful you will be required to provide a post-analysis report within four weeks of your campaign completion. The template of the report is set out in the full terms.
