Pure Fibre extended through to 30 June 2024

Our Pure Fibre incentive has been very well received by you. The simplicity of framework, the wide inclusivity of plans and the monthly processing of credits have been identified as reasons for helping you drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

The commercial performance, along with the positive and constructive discussions we're having with you, has made it possible to extend the existing framework through to 30 June 2024.

We would like to reiterate that Pure Fibre represents a material investment from Chorus to Retail Service Providers (RSPs), with the objective of growing fibre connections, and we will continue to review the commercial performance of the incentive. We will also be monitoring the previously communicated eligibility condition requiring net fibre connection growth that comes into effect on 1 January 2024 (see below for detail).

To help ensure our fibre base continues to grow, we are introducing one extra eligibility condition from 1 January 2024 requiring an RSP’s Chorus fibre base (for NGA and XGSPON fibre access products) to increase over the calendar month to be eligible for Pure Fibre credits.

Example scenario:

  • An RSP has 100 Chorus fibre connections on 31 December 2023
  • If on 31 January 2024 the RSP has 110 connections, they will be eligible for Pure Fibre credits (the opening base for February will then be 110 connections)
  • If on 31 January 2024 the RSP has 90 connections, they will NOT be eligible for Pure Fibre credits (and the opening balance for February will be 90 connections)

As this is a change in the Pure Fibre incentive conditions for the extension, we will require RSPs to confirm that they want to continue to participate in Pure Fibre on the amended terms – you will be able to do this by email i.e. no (re)signing of terms will be required. Your account manager will be in touch shortly with details.
