OLT/ONT and network upgrades

We are upgrading parts of our network over multiple projects to support new features and capabilities. We are also performing lifecycle upgrades to maintain vendor support.

This will include software updates to ONTs, OLTs and network nodes and will require rebooting of these network elements.

Service event notifications will be issued closer to the time with impact lists and timings within the usual maintenance window.

ONT & OLT upgrades

We aim to upgrade a small batch of about 20 OLTs and associated ONTs for soak testing; and then proceed with a larger batch of about 130. The rollout will follow with all remaining ONTs and OLTs in the network being upgraded.

OSN upgrades

We are also upgrading the software in our Huawei network nodes for continued vendor support and to reduce the risk of software related issues. These will be done in batches commencing in early October and completing in late November 2020.
