From 1 January 2022, the new regulatory framework for Fibre Services commences. This includes a requirement for Chorus to offer a Broadband Anchor Service. 

For the first regulatory period the Broadband Anchor Service will have speeds of: 

• Low Priority: 100 Mbps down, 20 Mbps up 
• High Priority: 2.5 Mbps symmetric 

The Offer Name is: Anchor Bitstream Service. 

The Service Description, technical details and terms are described in the regulations which are available on the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment website.  

Please note that while the plan will be available to order from the first business day in January 2022, there may be a lead time with the onboarding of this product due to limited resourcing during the holiday period. Please give reasonable notice if you intend to onboard early in the new year so that we can schedule resource to complete your request.
