4 April - Simplifying the business hours escalation process
From 2 May 2016 provisioning escalations raised during business hours can only be made through the Chorus Portal or by email. Read the full Informer here.

4 April - VDSL availability rules update
As a result of the audio consultation feedback on 17 March we’re now investigating whether we can make a change to Wireline broadband pre-qual to identify when NGA is already intact. Read the full Informer here.
7 April - Visionstream to install fibre in the Wellington region
From 16 May, Visionstream will be taking over from Downer to carry out fibre installations in Wellington and the Kapiti Coast; and then in the Manawatu from 30 May. Read the full Informer here.
8 April - Changes to Next Generation Access offer
To help you with your ordering and segmentation, from 4 May 2016 you will see more detail in some offer-names in the Chorus Portal. Read the full Informer here.
8 April - VDSL coverage extension
The successful change to band plan 998 provided increased speeds and improved performance. It was also able to deliver more stability on longer line lengths; as a result we’re now able to extend our VDSL coverage to 80% nationwide (previously it was 66%). Read the full Informer here.
11 April - Secondary offers now available for Next Generation Access
From 4 May 2016 we’re launching the ability to apply NGA secondary offers in our UFB zones. These offers use the additional UNI and ATA ports on the ONT, where a primary service already exists. Read the full Informer here.
14 April - Video content: Better Broadband 2020

18 April - Launching the new Chorus app

21 April - Next Generation Access Tail Extension timing and pricing
From mid July 2016 you will be able to use the Next Generation Access (NGA) Tail Extension to easily and cost effectively extend your NGA coverage. Read the full Informer here.
