We are signalling our high-level intention to continue Mix it Up (MiU).

The details

MiU in its current construct has continued to deliver positive outcomes to fibre connections and speed upgrades in the past year, and so it is our intention to continue this incentive programme throughout our FY23 period (July 2022 to June 2023).   

As a reminder, the current MiU incentive credits and thresholds are:

For 1) Connect to 300M+ and 2) Get to the Gig we’ll look at the product mix of your fibre orders we receive in a quarter (new connects, upgrades & downgrades) and assess what % of those orders were for 300M or Fibre Max (Gig) plans. We pay credits on eligible connections once thresholds have been met. 3) Hyperfibre has no minimum thresholds to qualify.

Please note: 200Mbps plans were recently boosted to Gig speed. We included them in the Gig threshold counts for the Oct–Dec 2021 quarter.  For completeness, under this extended offer no credits would be payable for moving from 200Mbps to either the 300Mbps (as this would be a speed downgrade and may incur a clawback) or the Gig plans (as there is no speed change). 

We are signalling this high-level intention now to help you plan ahead and will provide more detailed information in the coming months. 

We’re planning for our full financial year (1 July to 30 June) but due to the new regulatory regime, it is likely that we will need to build in flexibility to review incentives (primarily in relation to incentive expenditure in calendar year 2023, and potentially in response to significant market changes). We also need to monitor incentive performance to ensure that our incentives are correctly pitched to achieve increases in fibre connections and upgrades.  

We look forward to sharing more information with you. In the meantime, we’re conscious we’ve made some broader changes to the portfolio with the Big Fibre Boost and with the introduction of Home Fibre Starter 50. We’re really keen to hear whether those changes might impact how the Mix it Up offer works for you.
