In December we announced the Home Fibre Starter 50 plan launching on 1 April 2022. 

With speeds of 50-10-2.5-2.5, it’s priced at $38.00 where an RSP doesn’t exceed a retail price of $60 (incl. GST) – otherwise, the standard price for Chorus’ 50-10 service applies, currently $44.22. It’s based on the Home Fibre Starter 50 Service Description, which is currently with the TCF Product  Forum for endorsement. 

How will we know whether you're pricing Home Fibre Starter 50 below the cap?

The Home Fibre Starter 50 Conditions explain how this will work:

• We ask that you proactively inform us if the cap is exceeded.
• We'll monitor your website & advertised pricing.
• If you have multiple brands offering Home Fibre Starter 50 which fall on opposite sides of the price cap (e.g., one priced below the cap and another above), or multiple 50/10 offerings that are priced differently, then we will need you to validate which connections are which.   

Home Fibre Starter 50 Incentive

To support the launch of this plan we’ve developed an incentive overlay, where Service Providers will receive a $75 credit for each eligible connection. Key details outlined below. See Home Fibre Starter 50 Incentive Offer Letter for terms and conditions.

1. Credits are only available for connections to the Home Fibre Starter 50 plan; and
2. Only available where the Service Provider is advertising the Home Fibre Starter 50 plan at (or below) the retail price cap; and
3. Only available for new fibre connections. Note – for the purpose of this incentive offer “new fibre connections” means the address has not had an active fibre service for at least 30 days.
4. Orders must be received between 1 April and 31 December 2022. 
5. If the service is disconnected within 12 months or the retail price cap is exceeded, Chorus will clawback credits on a pro-rated basis.
