Home Fibre Starter 50: Price change and incentive offer
In September we opened consultation on a proposed new offer and can now confirm changes for the incentive offer and recurring price point.

We’re increasing HHome Fibre Starter 50 credits 1 January – 30 June 2023.
You told us that incentive credits reduce the cost of acquisition, so we’re increasing the credit amount from $75 to $100 for each eligible connection (standard 12-month clawback period will apply).
The scope of eligible connections will remain the same; addresses which haven’t had fibre for minimum 30 days. We considered credits for transfers as a way to provide more certainty, but the feedback we received was that the recurring price point is more important for this product. As such, we’ve prioritised a price reduction in this instance.
Note - we are looking to develop a report which will allow you to see which addresses meet the eligibility criteria for these credits. This is under development currently and we will advise once it is available to view.
We’re reducing the Home Fibre Starter 50 price from 1 February 2023 with no change to the retail price ceiling.
You said more margin is needed in the recurring price for this product to work, so we’re dropping it from $38 to $35. This improves the gross margin by up to 25 % compared to today.
This change will only apply where the retail price ceiling of $60 (including GST) is met. There is no change to the recurring price where the retail price ceiling is exceeded – it will continue to mirror that of the standard 50/10 plan.
What you need to do
The Home Fibre Starter 50 conditions have been updated to reflect this change. If you would like to sign up to this plan, please return a signed copy of this document to your account manager so that we can arrange onboarding.
If you have already signed up and are meeting the retail price ceiling, you don’t need to do anything. The price reduction will apply to all active Home Fibre Starter 50 connections from the implementation date.
