Have your say on our fibre future – workshop timing now confirmed
Last week we published our consultation paper seeking stakeholder views on key investment focus areas for our first regulatory period (RP1) under the new building blocks regulatory model being developed by the Commerce Commission. We have now confirmed the timing for an online forum where you can ask questions and have your say on this important topic – see below for how you can get involved.
What’s happening
We have already published our consultation paper on 24 March, seeking stakeholder views on key investment focus areas for our first regulatory period (RP1) under the new building blocks regulatory model being developed by the Commerce Commission. RP1 will control our revenue from January 2022 to December 2024. You can find the paper here.
Online Forum
In light of the COVID-19 situation and the pursuant demands on all of our time, we have decided to change from two workshops to one online forum, which will be held via Zoom from 10.30 to 12.30 on Thursday 9 April. If you would like to attend, please email RP1@Chorus.co.nz and we will send a meeting invite. If you have already registered your interest, we will automatically send you an invite.
In the interests of enabling effective and efficient participation, we have published slides in advance here. This pack provides a summary of some key information from the consultation paper, and we will use it during the forum to guide discussion.
We look forward to hearing your feedback, which will help us firm up plans for RP1 in the middle of this year, ready for our proposal to the Commerce Commission in October.
Online FAQ
As an additional step, we will also run an FAQ on our website for any questions received before close-of-business on 9 April. Feel free to send questions through before or after the online forum.
Next steps & contact
You can register for the online forum by emailing RP1@chorus.co.nz.
We will also make a recording of the forum available if you’re unable to attend at the scheduled time. If you have any questions or suggestions for the forum, please contact us using this email address or via your Chorus Account Lead/Manager.
We have a created a dedicated space on the service provider website in which you’ll find all the information and documentation related to this initiative. Add it to your bookmark so you can access it easily.
