In April 2019, we told you we were trialling two new fibre install approaches in 10 large apartment buildings across the Auckland region. This trial was an opportunity to:
- Reduce the number of declined fibre install consents from building managers, and
- Increase the number of fibre connections in these buildings.
This initial trial has proven very successful in pre-installing ONTs, with a good fibre conversion rate.
We are extending this install approach over the next six months and will apply the same bulk ONT install methodology to 40 more sites, with just one change – at this stage we don’t plan to continue our “preferential install window method” due to lower success rate.
To increase the number of ONTs that connect to fibre in these sites, we’d like to work with those of you willing to test new post-build marketing activities. This is likely to include (but won’t be limited to):
- Service providers market days
- Branded coffee carts
