Chorus Exchange Connect (CXC) product launch reminder
In June 2023 we provided formal notice of a new backhaul product for beyond POI to POI, called Chorus Exchange Connect (CXC). This is a reminder that this product is available for ordering as of 4 September 2023.
Summary of CXC
- New backhaul product beyond POI to POI, subject to capacity and availability
- Bandwidth managed 10G and 100G variants
- CXC Lit pricing will be distance-based
- Where CXC Lit is not yet available, a CXC Dark extension variant will be available. This variant will have distance-based pricing within set steps i.e., A: 0-10km, B: 10-20km, C: 20-40km which align to the ICABS pricing steps and will only be available until CXC Lit is launched on the relevant route
- 10G Single Fibre Working option

- Ability to use Chorus as a neutral provider of backhaul with no conflicts of interest
How will it be priced?

Replacement for Legacy Products
As of 4 September 2023, we will sell no new instances of the following products:
- Chorus Regional Transport (CRT);
- Chorus Relay Connect (CRC) that originate from or terminate at First Data Switches (FDS);
- Commercial Backhaul Variant (may have been labelled as CRT); and
- ICABS lit (including Metro and Managed throughput 10G or 100G)
