Chorus Assurance website – enhanced features
In July Chorus launched the new Assurance website for running tests, logging and managing problem tickets. Over the past few months and in collaboration with the service provider community, we have been migrating you across to the new website.
As the migration will conclude shortly, we are now focusing on delivering enhanced features that will provide improved testing and a fault logging experience. To ensure great customer experience, we’ll provide more upfront information to Assure customer service representatives.
What’s the details?
We are looking at deploying monthly releases of enhanced features to the Assurance website from October to December.
These features consist of:
Early October
- Events management fault correlation – correlating and linking an ASID to known planned & unplanned network events on the Chorus network.
October/November
- Fibre testing
- RGW test
- ONT status over time
November/December
- Copper testing
- SLT information added to the existing test
- Problem description
- Foreign DC Voltage (V)
- Foreign AC Voltage (V)
- Foreign AC Voltage Frequency (Hz)
- Insulating Resistance (kΩ)
- Capacitance (nF)
- Noise Level (dBm)
- Impedance (kΩ)
- LSD

- Electrical Loop
- SIP Ping
- Port Refresh
- SLT information added to the existing test
- Test history - shows historical test activity from tests run in the Assurance Website including Broadband Stability and USI Stability History
- Order history - shows historical provisioning activity
