After an extensive consultation period, we’ve considered all the feedback and the new Baseband contract (for copper and IP) is now available on our website.

What's happening?

The Baseband (non FTTH) Service Appendix is part of the Chorus Services Agreement (CSA) and in conjunction with the CSA General Terms sets out the contractual terms for all Baseband variants and options including Baseband Copper, Baseband IP, Baseband IP Extended and Baseband IP Tail Extension.

The Baseband Service Appendix includes the following four appendices:
1. Baseband special terms
2. Baseband service description
3. Baseband price list
4. Baseband operations manual.

The final Baseband contract includes changes resulting from industry feedback received on the draft contract, which was released for consultation on 8 May 2015. A summary of the changes can be found on our website.

The draft Baseband contract was released for consultation at the same time as Chorus announced it was moving to the full launch for Baseband IP Extended from 31 July 2015 (Informer 258). In conjunction with the full launch of Baseband IP Extended, the previous Baseband IP Soft Launch Agreement terminated.
