API Channel launches today
‘I don’t know what is happening’ is one of the biggest pain points we know your customers feel about their broadband services. One way to improve this is to improve the flow of information between Chorus, Service Companies and our RSPs and the new Chorus APIs will help us achieve this.
Today, Chorus is launching its own API channel to house valuable APIs for our RSPs and Service Companies to utilise and improve the flow and availability of information and data.
What’s the API Channel?
It’s our new API Developers website where your business, project and software development teams can locate, learn about and access the APIs they need, it includes:
- An API Explorer showing what is available and what is coming soon
- An overview of each API and its features and benefits
- Technical documentation
- The ability for your teams to try out the RAML, a mocked up API
- A support page, where you can check the real-time status of the APIs or log an enquiry directly with our Support team
Over coming months, the catalogue of APIs will continue to grow, enabling you to innovate and enhance on your own customer experience, and improve business efficiencies.
Watch our launch video explaining the API Channel and how it can help your business.
Today there are four APIs available to you on the Channel already.
Line Test – Check Mate capability, with some additional Copper testing
Broadband Availability – the same information you can find on our Broadband Checker
Network Performance - for those customers using the Chorus Regional Transport product
Address Lookup – the ability to search for addresses alongside Chorus location identifiers
You can learn more about these APIs in our intro videos, just click on the API above you would like to learn about.
