We are adding an optional feature to allow you to change the default DEI bit setting for the Accelerate fibre plans launched last year.

What's happening?

You now have the choice for your global setting for the colour markings on egress attribute for the Accelerate Fibre Plans. This has been referred to as the DEI Bit Issue in discussions in the UFB Product Forum.

What's the detail?

In July last year we launched the Accelerate offers with the attribute setting for colour markings on egress to ON as a default when managing traffic through the network. Following feedback we are changing this from a default to a configurable setting and, as requested, from May 2015 you will have the choice to have this setting at ON or OFF at a global level.

If you want the setting to remain ON you don’t need to do anything further.  If you would like to change the setting to OFF, please talk to your Service Delivery Manager who will arrange for the change to take place.
