Our current extended Handover ICABS Offer ends on the 31 March. As we continue to work with you to resolve capacity challenges in some exchanges, we are launching our new Hub Site ICABS Offer to waive charges for the dark fibre variant of Intra Candidate Area Backhaul Service (ICABS). This will apply when you purchase new handovers or colocation at qualifying exchanges which satisfy the eligibility criteria in the offer.

New exchanges have been made available to this offer in line with forecasted demand. We are including these ICABS as part of the handover and colocation purchases at specific exchanges where capacity constraints may be preventing you from taking these products

This Chorus Hub Site ICABS Offer applies to qualifying ICABS connections in two scenarios:

• Scenario 1 – when you purchase a new handover at an alternative exchange (please refer to table a (i) for UFB handovers or table a (ii) for UBA handovers) and need connectivity back to colocation footprints in existing exchanges where there is no handover capacity.
• Scenario 2 – when you purchase new colocation footprints at an alternative exchange (please refer to table a (iii) colocation and need connectivity back to handovers in existing exchanges where there is no colocation capacity.

These ICABS will facilitate connectivity between existing exchanges and Alternative exchanges specified in the tables below.

The offer will expire on 31 March 2021. It means that from 1 April 2021, the full charges for ICABS will become applicable for connections that are connected through this new offer and the existing Extended Handover ICABS Offer. If you have signed up to the Extended Handover ICABS offer you will need to re-sign this Hub Site ICABS offer to take advantage of it.

Chorus Portal update

In respond to the increasing capacity demand for Mt Eden Exchange, we’ve now added Ponsonby Exchange to the above eligible tables and created a new free ICABS ring between Mayoral Drive, Mt Eden and Ponsonby Exchanges (POY-MOD, POY-MDR, MDR-MOD). It applies to both UBA, UFB handover links and Colocation tables.
