UFB Handover

Delivers Chorus UFB subscribers to your network

Overview

Our UFB Handover connection allows connectivity to deliver traffic between the Chorus UFB network and your network. The Handover Service supports three speed options: 1 GigE (limited availability), 10 GigE; and 100GigE with diversity options available, built between a handover point and a linking service.

The flexibility of our ultra-fast broadband solutions make it easy for you to integrate your own infrastructure and functionality to differentiate your offers in the marketplace. It also gives you options, from basic voice capability through to highly tailored, innovative solutions for larger customers. This means you can create solutions that deliver increased productivity and great new content to meet your customers’ requirements.

UFB Handover grooming

To improve your ability to manage UFB Handover connection upgrades or reconfiguration, UFB Handover Grooming is now available. Handover Grooming can assist you with managing your UFB Handover Link Aggregation Group (LAG) expansion, or reconfiguration, where port capacity limitations occur on a network card. It allows Handovers to be migrated between card slots on a Handover switch to help support your LAG upgrades or expansion. Doing this means you don’t have to remap each fibre access onto a new Handover connection giving you cost and time savings.

UFB Handover Transfers

We’re introducing a new Bulk Transfer service fee to assist  Service Providers’ (RSPs) and Resellers transferring subscribers between handovers in certain circumstances.

Individual transfers - the transfer of the Bitstream Service connected to an End User Premises from one Service Provider to another, as authorised by the End User by change of port mapping $24.58 per service.

Bulk Transfers fee service - will include a one-off credit against the standard transfer fee per subscriber that supports the transfer of UFB Bitstream services along with a fixed Handover fee per handover for the following scenarios:

  • An RSP moving customers from the handover links of an RSP it has acquired to its own handovers.
  • A Reseller moving its full base of customers to another Reseller or RSP (i.e. a novation of a base/novation of customer contracts).
  • An RSP outsourcing its customer base to a Reseller provider (support and management).
