UFB Geo-Diverse Handover Connection Supporting Information
On 2 March 2022, we announced the May 2022 launch of the new UFB Geo-Diverse Handover Connection feature. We can now provide further details of the associated system changes and an updated Service Description.
The Wireline Handover Link (HOL) order forms will be updated with additional options to enable you to order the new UFB geo-diverse HOL features when submitting a new UFB HOLs request. You will also be able to submit an order to convert an existing HOL to become part of a geographically diverse handover group in the same candidate area. Currently, this feature is available only in the Auckland and Wellington candidate areas and will be expanded to include other candidate areas in future.
Please refer to the detailed briefing pack for information on what these changes mean for you. The changes to the Wireline order forms will be available from 31 May 2022.
An updated UFB Handover Connection Service Description including the new geo-diverse features is available for your reference.
