We’re lowering the price of the Small Business Fibre 100 plan and holding the price of Small Business Fibre Max for 2 years.

What’s happening

On 2 June 2020, we asked for your feedback on our proposal to reduce the price of the Small Business Fibre 100 plan by $3 – from $55 to $52 per month. [Note: Small Business Fibre is not subject to the proposed CPI increase from 1 October 2020.]

Small Business Fibre is the ideal fibre product on our network for NZ’s small businesses. One of the key features of Small Business Fibre is Chorus business restore. This feature gives smaller businesses peace-of-mind that outages will be restored as soon as possible – comparable with our outage response times for our premier fibre business products (eg: NGA Business (Bitstream 3/a); NGA Business Premium (Enhanced Bitstream 4). As a result, we believe this proposed price reduction reflects amazing value for smaller businesses.

We would like to thank those of you who took the time to feedback on this proposed change. Feedback was positive, with most of you telling us you would:

• migrate Business Evolve 100 connections to Small Business Fibre 100 given the proposed narrowing of the price gap between them to $2; and
• lead with Small Business Fibre 100 in your customer facing propositions (i.e. in lieu of Business Evolve 100).

In addition, you told us you want price certainty.

Based on this, we’ve decided to go ahead and implement the proposed price reduction for the Small Business Fibre 100 plan from 1 July 2020. In addition, we’ll hold the price of Small Business Fibre Max at $65 for 2 years from 1 July 2020.
