Proactive fault response to service outage from Red Optical faults

We are looking for expression of interest to take part in a trial where we will identify connected fibre customers who develop a Red Optical fault causing a loss of service. We will then proactively advise participating service providers so they can log a fault ticket for their customer as these faults require a site visit to diagnose and restore service. 

We hope to reduce the customer effort and time it takes to resolve a service impacting fault for a better experience. However, it will require action from both Chorus Assure and participating service providers. 

Trial area will be restricted to Auckland CBD and will run for 8 weeks.

Please reach out to your account team if you are interested in taking part in this trial. We will then work with you to finalise communication processes, timings, frequency of reporting etc. 

We expect to commence the trial from 24 July 2023 until 14 September 2023 and will only run weekdays.   

We will analyse the data and learnings from the trial for any improvement opportunities in the fault experience/process and share the outcomes. We will propose any process changes prior to implementation as a BAU step.
