Ordering fibre via our older systems is coming to an end

We’re giving you plenty of notice, to ensure you’re prepared. Ordering fibre via our legacy systems ceases on 4 December 2017.

What's happening?

Thanks to many of you, that have transitioned already. Nearly 70% of fibre orders now come via Chorus Portal or B2B. They have many new enhancements over our older platforms.

With a date now set, those that still haven’t migrated have 10 months to do so. After that, Wireline OO&T / OO&T B2B / SSP (NetCracker) fibre orders will stop functioning. Your company may use different names for these systems – please check.

What's the detail?

We’ve been consulting on these changes at the UFB product forum since 2014. Formal notice was given in December 2014, that OO&T / SSP fibre orders would cease in December 2015. We kept these platforms available beyond this date, to give you more time.

With many of you now on board and the new platforms well bedded in, we’re ready to have a sunset date. The services closing on 4 December 2017 are:

UFB Service Current Channels Future Channels
DFAS, BFAS, ICABS, CRT (including Jumpering Service and vDFAS) SSP(Netcracker) Chorus Portal or B2B
NGA (Bitstream 2, 3, & 3a) Wireline OO&T / OO&T B2B / Chorus Portal / B2B Chorus Portal or B2B
HSNS (including both fibre and copper variants of HSNS lite) Remains on Wireline OO&T and OO&T B2B NA
Bitstream 4 NA Launches this year on Chorus Portal or B2B

The ordering of most copper, colocation and legacy fibre services are unaffected. Note that UCLL copper services will also be withdrawn from SSP (NetCracker). It'll only be available via Wireline OO&T.

Thanks if you’ve already migrated. If you haven’t, ensure a smooth transition by having a plan to move your fibre orders. From 4 December 2017, we’ll only support fibre provisioning on the newer platforms.
