New process for end customers requesting copper network relocations
In November 2021, to improve the end customer experience, our Network Services Team launched a new online webform for all Network relocation requests where the premise is NOT currently connected with an RSP.
To further improve the end customer experience, from 21 March 2022 all requests to move Chorus copper network on the premise or outside the boundary, whether there is a working service or not, will follow the same process.
Customers/property owners wanting copper network relocations need to be directed to the link on our website. RSP’s will no longer submit a request on the end customers behalf via Wireline or ICMS. Requests via these legacy systems will no longer be valid and will be rejected by Chorus. All requests must be made via the webform.
This new process for copper network relocations will enable a one step request for relocation of Chorus copper equipment – either on premise or outside the boundary.
If the customer is unsure of the type of work required, then they should select “Other” and Chorus will manage the request with them directly.
There is no change to the process for fibre network relocation requests – if there is an active fibre service then customers should continue to request these via their RSP. If there isn’t, they should use the Chorus network relocation webform.
Please update your knowledgebase and share this with your teams.
