We’re launching this service for developers and builders wanting fibre pre-built in their new subdivisions. Installing fibre during construction dramatically cuts the amount of time needed for a homeowner to get a fibre broadband connection. This service is available for all dwelling types (including apartments), in our fibre areas.

We’ve trialled building fibre to the ONT with developers, builders and construction companies over the past few months. When your customer orders broadband with you, they can be connected remotely without a technician needing to visit. (Note you can still request a CPE install visit if you wish).

To achieve this, we issue a NGA connection order to provision a ‘dummy’ service. We then disconnect this service once it’s installed and tested.

In Chorus Portal, you’ll see such addresses with an Intact ONT ID as per below.
