In February we advised that the stop-sell on copper in all Specified Fibre Areas (SFAs) would come into effect on 6 March 2023 for UBA/EUBA (ADSL/VDSL) and HSNS Lite, this date remains unchanged. The 1 June 2023 date for Baseband also remains unchanged.

We have considered the impact of recent weather events and noted that this coincides with the timing of this update. We are working very hard to restore services to impacted customers regardless of the technology. We note that the fault rates of fibre connections with these weather events is materially lower than that of copper.
