Check Mate is ready to roll

Our new app lets you check your customers’ fibre status in real time. We’re rolling it out from 1 March 2017.

Check Mate remotely diagnoses your customers’ ONT status, and the traffic passing through it. It’s an app made possible, after consulting with many of you. It’s now ready to launch – via a staggered roll-out schedule. 

What's the detail?

From Check Mate’s initial design to its pilot phase, staff from 50+ service providers have been actively involved in its development. Thanks to many of you, for your valuable input.

After a successful pilot, we’re now ready for roll-out. Timings are based on the roll-out criteria agreed at the TCF product forum.

Check Mate lets your team have informed conversations with your customers. It trouble-shoots fibre issues, by providing real-time data to help diagnose faults. It tests for NGA issues for Bitstream 2, 3 and 3a products only.

Check Mate presents information such as:

  • The state of the ONT, including a rolling 20-day view.
  • ONT to residential gateway (RGW) connectivity.
  • Customers’ address details.
  • Service information.
  • Test result history for easy comparison. This includes tests performed by our field service partners with their equivalent fibre testing tool - Tech Mate.

All these features (and more) were designed for you to check/validate the state of the NGA fibre service.
