As data usage increases, we’ve boosted backhaul capacity to meet demand. From today you can now get up to 100G speeds, starting with Auckland to Hamilton.

What's happening?

Chorus Regional Transport (CRT) is our national UFB backhaul service. It currently offers speeds of 1G to 10G. From today, we’re offering 100G between Auckland and Hamilton. With this extra capacity, you’ve got options on how to improve your end-customers’ experience.

What's the detail?

These two cities are just the start. We’re rapidly rolling out 100G nationwide. Between now and the end of September we’ll complete a software upgrade that will allow 100G on all CRT routes.
