With Chorus RSP incentives RSPs are rewarded for giving more customers a great connectivity experience on our fast and reliable network. Our research indicates that customers on higher speed plan are happier and therefore less likely to contact their RSP or churn. We have maintained what works for RSPs with incentives e.g. simplicity and reward upsell to plans where end customers have a better experience.
New Zealanders (and NZ Businesses) are doing more and more online, we want as many New Zealanders as possible to have a fast and reliable internet experience, and our RSP Incentives help RSPs to get more end-users on fibre.
The incentive details
Conceptually, we have maintained a very similar framework to RSP FY25 Incentive, with some enhancements:
- Increased credit value for higher speed plans
- Fibre300(500) was $200, increasing to $250
- Fibre920 was $250, increasing to $300
- Hyperfibre was $250, increasing to $300
- SBF500 was $200, increasing to $250
- SBF920 was $300, increasing to $350
- SBHF was $300, increasing to $350
- Amended the application of clawbacks, with clawbacks no longer being applied if the address leaves an RSP via a transfer order and remains on fibre (at the same or higher speed plan)

Fibre Growth Condition
We have maintained the monthly ‘Net Fibre Growth’ eligibility condition, that requires an enrolled RSP to achieve growth in its Chorus fibre customer base (Consumer and Business combined) to be eligible in any single month to be eligible for incentives in that particular month.
A reminder that we recently amended the calculation methodology to a net calculation of New Connect order less Disconnect orders i.e. transfer orders are not considered as part of the calculation.
