How to order OHUG for your customer

Overview

We have introduced a fixed charge for an overhead to underground conversion when this is requested at the same time as a new standard installation. Below we outline how to order OHUG for your customer. 

 

New Connection  

When you submit your Primary order, you must enter OHUG into the Location of Equipment (LOE) field.  

Location of equipment

Our automation tool will detect the comment in the field and send the order for manual validation. The order will be put on hold.  

The Portal Order will be updated with quote details of $1500 for approval / rejection. Because we are offering a fixed price, there is no delay to wait for a quote.  

You will have 90 days to accept or reject the quote. 

If the quote is accepted, the OHUG work will be completed by the provisioning technician as part of the booking appointment.  

If the quote is rejected, you will have 7 days to advise us if your customer wants to proceed with the aerial installation, and if so, you can book an install appointment. You will need to add an interaction advising us of this.  

If we don’t hear from you within 7 days, the order will be cancelled.  

 

Intact Connection / Existing Service 

When you submit an order at an address with an intact connection or existing service you will need to select CPE Truck Roll Install and note OHUG on the Location of Equipment field.

Our automation tool will detect the comment in the field and send the order for manual validation.  The order will initially be put on hold.

We will put the order through our Network Design and Build process to get a quote from the Service Company. 

The quote details will be loaded into Chorus Portal for you to review.  

If the quote is approved the OHUG order will move into Held / Schedule Install for you to book an appointment with your customer.  

The OHUG order will be completed by the Service Company.  

If the quote is rejected, the network will remain as it is, and the order will be cancelled.   

 

In-flight Order 

If our technician goes to site and your end customer says that they want OHUG, the technician will return the order to us. The order will be put on hold.  

We will put the order through our Network Design and Build process to get a quote from the Service Company. 

The quote details will be loaded into Chorus Portal for you to review.  

If the quote is approved the order will move into Held / Schedule Install for you to book a new appointment with your customer.  

If the quote is rejected, you will have 7 days to advise us if your customer wants to proceed with the original installation, and if so, you can book an install appointment. You will need to add an interaction advising us of this. 

The technician will return to the site to complete OHUG as part of the booking appointment.
